Born in Briceville, TN on March 22, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Lewis Emory and Mary (Foust) Kesterson. Betty Jo is survived by daughter, Gail (Abner) Baldwin and favorite son-in-law, Bob Baldwin, of Kingston, TN; loving granddaughter, Shelby Rae (Griffith) and husband Christopher Waddell, of Lewes, DE; great granddaughters: Alexis Zalar, Abigail Zalar, of Lewes, DE; sister, Margaret Rose (Kesterson) and husband, Dorcy Fritts, of Lake City, TN; sisters-in-law: Betty Lou Ward, Barbara Abner, of Lake City, TN; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Monday, April 30 at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 West Park Place, Newark, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 8 p.m.

Army and formerly employed as a Prudential Life Insurance Agent. In 1977, George founded Baker Hughes Inc. of Elkton, MD. George is survived by his wife of 60 years, Anna Leone Hamilton Baker, of Perryville, MD; daughters: Mary Turah Jones, of Wewahitchka, FL; Melinda-Ann Baker Roth, of Reisterstown, MD; Monica B. Baker, of Towson, MD; Madge A.

Baker, of Perryville, MD; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; sisters: Eleanor Harris, Ethel Atkinson, and Virginia B. Coleman. Born in Boone, NC, on January 13, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Pearl Main Potter. Mrs. Beamer had worked for Avon Products, Newark, DE.

Prior to that, she was a seamstress for Nanette Manufacturing and Elkton Fashions. She was a member JACKSON NICKLE CAIN- RIGGSBEE of Crossroads Bible Church, Elkton. Mrs. Beamer loved being a homemaker and spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed vegetable gardening and canning.

Survivors include her children, Carrie Whiteman (Charles), Elkton, MD, and Robert G. Beamer (Wendy), Port Deposit, MD; grandchildren, Chad Whiteman (Tasha), Jaren Whiteman (Bran- dye), Nicholas Beamer, Eric Simpkins and Jesse Short; and 4 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Beamer was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald E. Beamer, Jr.

Stockton Street, Elkton, MD, where visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Gilpin Manor Memorial Park, Elkton. hickshomeforfunerals.com Margaret Dorothy Cifaldo Jackson Margaret Dorothy Cifaldo Jackson, 91, Port Deposit MD, passed away on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 in the University of Maryland Harford Memorial Hospital, Havre de Grace, MD. Born May 13, 1926 in Port Deposit, she was the daughter of the late Angelo and Angelina Ciarlo Cifaldo.

Maggie attended the Jacob Tome Institute in Port Deposit and she enjoyed a long career as a seamstress with the Bata Shoe Company of Belcamp, MD and, in food service with the Cecil County Public School System. She was an honored year member of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Water Witch Fire Company and was a valued year board member for the Port Deposit Heritage Corporation. She was a member of Relay for Life Team, raising money for the American Cancer Society each year. Maggie is survived by her grandchildren: Kay Louise Bryant Crouch, Donna Sue Bryant Brady, Glenn Ray Bryant great grandchildren: Victoria Rae Witt, Hunter Nelson Crouch, Megan Justine Louise Witt, Dalton Ray Bryant, Jordan Elizabeth Bryant; three great great grandchildren; brother, John Cifaldo, of Churchville, MD; and sister, Roseanne Riale, of Colora, MD. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, a large extended family, and many close friends.

Maggie enjoyed baking pies, playing bingo, dominos, and cards; volunteering for the fire company, her church, and her community; crocheting doilies and knitting baby blankets. In addition to her parents, several brothers and a sister, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Wrightson Jackson; and her daughter, JoAnn Louise Bryant. A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Saturday, April 28, 11 a.m. at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 810 Aiken Perryville, MD. Robert John Nickle 94, of Elkton MD, passed away on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at Caraway Manor Assisted Living in Elkton, MD. He was born on Feb. 3, 1924, in Fremont, PA, to the late Samuel H. and Mary E. Dawson Nickle.

Bob was a graduate of Rising Sun High School. In his earlier life, he worked as a farmer alongside his father, and also farmed on his own farm. Later, he pursued a career as a life insurance agent with Home Beneficial Life Insurance Company, serving many families in Cecil County, and retiring after 28 years of service. Bob loved gardening, collecting coins, collecting and tinkering with farm tractors, both real and toy, going to farm and steam engine shows, and most of all, spending time with all of his family. He enjoyed getting together with family to share a good meal and conversation.

A man of great faith, Bob was a member of the North East United Methodist Church. He was also a member of the Historical Society of Cecil County, and the Cecil County Farm Museum. He is survived by his three children: Bob Nickle Jr. (Allyn); Donna Thomas (Ron); Michele Smith (Steve); one sister, Ruth Law; three grandchildren: Dawn Rhoades, Brittney Becker, Cayley Smith; four great grandchildren: Jessica, Matthew, Gavin, Carson; one great great grandchild, David; a very special cousin and friend, Leonard Kirk; and many more special family members and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Shirley B.

Schneider Nickle who passed away in August 2003; and two brothers: H. Earl Nickle and Samuel H. Nickle. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Celebration of Life services with visitation from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Born Oct. 22, 1982 in the Francis Scott Key Hospital of Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of Wilfred Bernard Cain and Carol Ann Cain, of Port Deposit.

Michelle is survived by her parents, Wilfred Bernard Cain and Carol Ann Cain; husband, Johnny Riggsbee III; brother, William Bernard Cain; nephew, Daeshon William Cain; niece, Autumn Cain; mother-in-law, Cynthia Young; aunts: Phyllis Brown (Rev. Blane Brown), Brenda Griffin, Denise Cain, Gloria Cain; uncles: Bishop Claude Waldon, Franklin Griffin (Tammy), Daniel Elwood Burton (Ann), Donald Burton (Gale), Kevin Burton (Tracey), Jeremy Burton, Samuel Webster (Faye), Rodney Cain and Michael Cain (Joy). Michelle accepted the Lord at a young age and was baptized by Rev. Steven Deveaux of the First Baptist Church of Port Deposit where she was an usher and sang in the youth choir. Michelle graduated with honors from the Perryville High School in June 2000 and went on to attend Albright College, appeared on the list, and received a Bachelor of Arts degree.

She also received a Masters of Education from Jones International University and a Teacher Leadership degree from the University of Phoenix. In addition, Michelle won first place in a drafting competition at the Delaware Technical Community College. Michelle was formerly employed as a Supervisor by of Reading, PA, a telephone operator by Veri- zon, and a substitute teacher for the Cecil County Public School System. Michelle traveled to Paris, France and was fluent in French and Spanish. Michelle loved Florida and very much enjoyed her trip to Disney World.

Michelle was preceded in death by her grandmothers: Ruth Ann Nocho Lee; Eleanor Ann Cain; grandfathers: Gerald Nocho, Daniel Elwood Burton Herbert I. Cain and Howard Lee. Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday, April 29, 3 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Port Deposit, MD. Visitation for family and friends will be held Sunday, April 29, 1 p.m.

The installed in vehicles enabled them to pass emissions tests. But under actual driving conditions, vehicles with the devices installed emitted up to 40 times the allowable limit of nitrogen oxide.

These devices had been installed in vehicles from model years 2009 to 2015, according to the lawsuit. Under the agreement, the auto manufacturers will pay a $29.5 million penalty the most ever awarded under the environmental laws, according to state officials. The automakers also agreed to choose a Maryland-based port facility to provide support valued at $4.5 million to Volkswagen Group of America U.S. East Coast operations. If the auto manufacturers meet that part of the agreement, have to pay an additional $4.5 million.
