IMES -R ECORD OVEMBER 10 16,2004 PAGE7A CELEBRATIONS WEDDINGS ENGAGEMENT BIRTHS ANNIVERSARIES MR. AND MRS. JASON EMALA Mandel Emala Ashley Wood Mandel and Jason Emala, both of Arlington, were married at 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 4, on the Manor Lawn of the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay in Cambridge.

The Very Rev. Christopher LaBarge and Rabbi Kenneth Block officiated. The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Dole Mason Mandel of Philadelphia, and the granddaughter of Mrs.

Julian Bradley Jackson, Jr. of Richmond, and Mrs. Carl Greenberg of East Stroudsburg, and Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs.

James Emala of Marydel and the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Charles John Contini of Dover, and Northvale, N.J. Escorted by her father, the bride was attended by her sister Courtney Ann Mandel of Richmond, as maid of honor. Other attendants were Lauren Archer Kirk of Arlington, Julie Grace Goodman of New York, N.Y., Jaclyn Rachel Lichter of Rockville, Rebecca Marie Horton of Washington, D.C., and Anne Marie Fay of Alexandria, Va.

The cousin, Julio Margaret Jackson of Somme, served as flower girl. Jeffrey Michael Burkey of Arlington, served as best man. Groomsmen were Andrew James Schofield of Bethesda, Charles Bradford Fliegel of New York, N.Y., Rui Pedro Santos Torres of Clarksburg, Michael Paul Ground of Potomac, and Rohan Arun Virginkar of Washington, D.C. The cousin, Chase Road Harrison of Short Hills, N.J., served as ring bearer. A dinner-dance reception was hold immediately following the ceremony in the Choptank Ballroom of the Hyatt.

On the eve of the wedding, a rehearsal dinner was given by the parents in the Clipper Room at the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay. The bride graduated from Westchester Academy in High Point, N.C., and received a bachelor of science degree cum laude from the Robert H. Smith School of Business of the University of Maryland, College Park, where she majored in accounting. She is employed as a senior assurance auditor by KPMG L.L.P. in Washington, D.C.

The groom graduated from North Caroline High School in Ridgely, and received a bachelor of science degree from the Robert H. Smith School of Business of the University of Maryland in College Park, where he majored in finance and decision and information sciences. He received his juris doctorate with honors from The George Washington University Law School, and is pursuing a masters in securities law from Georgetown University School of Law. After a honeymoon in Monte Carlo and Paris, the couple will reside in Arlington, Va. MR.

AND MRS. JOHN KAUFMAN Tarrant Kaufman Aubrey Lynn Tarrant and John Cory Kaufman were united in marriage on June 19, 2004, at the Kent Island Yacht Club. The Rev. Albert Burton officiated at the outdoor double ring ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Diana and Stuart Tarrant of Queenstown.

The groom is the son of Mary B. Young of Easton and John Albert Kaufman Jr. of Centreville. Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a full-length white gown with full skirt and sweetheart neckline, a three-quarter length veil and carried a cascading bouquet of roses. The bride was attended by Megan Patchett of Preston and Jenn Wright of Goldsboro, cousins of the bride; Ally Gunther, Megan Covington and Jessie Willey, all of Centreville; Christina Thomas of Queenstown, Lori and Leah Duty, both of Stevensville; Christine Tillinghast of Edgewater and Mackenzie McGraw of Myrtle Beach, S.C., the cousin.

Karli Higdon of Centreville served as the maid of honor and Hannah Lewis of Stevensville served as flower girl. Steve Thomas of Owings served as the best man. Groomsmen were Chris Harriman of Grasonville; Kevin Smith of Pasadena; Donnie Engel of Centreville; Mike Engel and Mike Pirrone, both of Centreville; Jordan McGraw of Myrtle Beach, S.C., the cousin; Avery Tarrant of Queenstown, the brother; Josh and Justin Kendall of Centreville and Austin Patchett of Preston, cousins of the bride. The chihuaha, Cody, served as ring bearer. The bride is a graduate of Salisbury University.

She is currently employed as a sales representative for Fasteners RX in Easton. The bridegroom is a graduate of the University of Maryland. He is currently employed as the assistant superintendent of River Marsh Golf club in Cambridge. The couple took a honeymoon trip to Hawaii before making their home in Easton.
