Crouch ROCK HALL Eloise Margaret Crouch, of Rock Hall, passed away Nov. 10, 2013 at Shore Medical Center at Easton.

She was 88. She was born Feb. 7, 1925, the daughter of the late Christopher and Margaret Creighton Grant. Educated in Piney Neck, she married Calvin Crouch Sr. on Jan.

27, 1948 and raised her family in Piney Neck on the outskirts of Rock Hall, where she was born and raised. She worked with her husband picking geese and ducks for area gun clubs, briefly as a waitress and cook in area restaurants and as a caregiver to the elderly in the community. She loved reading, watching her birds, westerns, crocheting, flowers and, most of all, her extensive family. She is survived by her daughters, Bonita Lee Clever of Hatteras, N.C. and Nora Jean Loeffler of Rock Hall; a son, Calvin Elmer Crouch Jr.

of Felton, 11 grandchildren; 26 great- grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 14 (today) at Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Rock Hall. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Disabled Veterans National Foundation, 1020 19th St.

Flowers MILLINGTON James Robert Flowers, also known as of Millington, died Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013 at his home.

He was 60. Born March 24, 1953 in New Jersey, he was the son of the late Morgan Flowers Sr. and Ivanette Holeger. Mr. Flowers attended Bohemia Manor High School.

In 1990, he married Shirley Flowers. He worked several jobs, most recently for Gillespie as a foreman of the precast yard. Mr. Flowers loved playing guitar, drinking beer and singing. In addition to his wife, Shirley, he is survived by a stepson, Brian K.

Lapkiewicz of Earleville; three sisters, Lola Rebecca Hollinger of Rehoboth Beach, Barbara Jean Czerny of Sykesville and Delores Lockwood of Warwick; two brothers, Morgan Flowers of Millington and John W. Flowers of Millington; one grandson, Brian K. Lapkiewicz Jr. of Elkton; and a niece, Sharon Sewell of Lincoln, Del. Funeral services will be held privately.

He was 62. William B. Martin CHURCH HILL William Brent Martin of Church Hill, died Monday, Nov. 11, 2013 at Shore Medical Center at Chestertown. Services will be held privately.

A complete obituary will be posted in next Kent County News and online at www.fhnfuneralhome. com. Kim McGinnis MILLINGTON Kim McGinnis, of Millington, passed away Nov. 6, 2013 at Shore Medical Center at Chestertown. She was 53.

Mrs. McGinnis was born Jan. 20, 1960 in Grand Rapids, daughter of Helena Hoskinson and the late Hubert Lloyd Aliff. She was raised in Clayton, Del. Kim was a school bus driver for 20 years with the Smyrna School District and was a graduate of Goldey Beacom School of Massage.

She was active with House of Prayer Ministry in West Virginia, and her passion was preaching word. She loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren. Along with her father, she was preceded in death by a sister, Wendy Aliff. She is survived by her mother, Helena Hoskinson of Clayton; her husband of 27 years, Gary McGinnis; her children, Chuck Emerson of Clayton, Autumn Baxter (Vince) and Desiray Rhodes (Evan) of Millington, and Courtney Elborn (Mike) of Clayton; a sister, Lois Delpilar (Damon) of Millington; two brothers, Wayne Aliff of Dover, Del. and Wes Aliff of Tennessee; six grandchildren, Skylar Baxter, Dylan Elborn, Steel Rhodes, Chayse Baxter, Gracie Elborn and baby El- KIM GINNIS born; and her beloved dog, Tess.

Funeral services were held Nov. 11 in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, Galena. Burial was in Asbury Cemetery, Millington. Memorials may be offered to Living Water Ministries, P.O.

Box 7162, Newark, DE 19714-7162. Robert J. McPeek DOVER, DEL. Robert J. McPeek of Dover, passed away Friday, Nov.

8, 2013 at home, surrounded by his family. He was 70. Mr. McPeek was born Jan. 2, 1943 in Huntsville, N.J., to John McPeek and Elizabeth Parr McPeek.

He worked as a truck driver for West Brook Farms in New Jersey, then owned and operated his own trucking company, McPeek Trucking, and was the terminal manager for Superior Carriers. Mr. McPeek coached and umpired Little League when his children were young; he never missed a game. He was a Washington Nationals and Redskins fan. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his son, Scott McPeek, on Oct.

19, 2012. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Donna Stang McPeek of Dover; sons Robert McPeek Jr. of Sparta, N.J. and Ryan McPeek and his wife, Leslie, of Andover, N.J.; granddaughters Korin McPeek of North Carolina, Devin, Amanda and Jessica McPeek of Andover, and Kacie Lyn McPeek of Branchville, N.J.; daughter-in-law Shirley McPeek of Branchville; mother Elizabeth McPeek of Moore, S.C.; sister Judy Marks of Rock Hill, S.C.; brother Jack McPeek of Kingsport, special family friend Alan Hendershot of Andover; several brothers- and sisters-in-law; nieces and nephews; and many special friends. A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m.

Bessie May Moss WORTON Bessie May Moss, of Worton, passed away Nov.

6, 2013. She was born Sept. 4, 1917, the daughter of the late Medford E. and Bessie Capel. Betty was 96 years old and lived for her last 20-some years on the farm of Virginia and Allen Capel.

After graduating from Chestertown High School in 1929, she married Fred Moss of Boston, Mass. They lived in several cities along the East Coast, as Fred pursued BESSIE MAY MOSS his career as a master plasterer. They finally settled in Wilmington, where she retired from the Singer Sewing Machine Co. Not long after the death of her husband, Betty moved to the Capel farm near Worton. Betty enjoyed travel and visited relatives in England and Ireland several times.

Her most enjoyable moments were spent visiting with friends and family and just enjoying the Kent County lifestyle. Betty is survived by three brothers, Medford C. Capel, Allen F. Capel and Ralph L. Capel.

Two late brothers were Earl B. Capel and William Capel. She also had one late sister, Evelyn Meigs. Private services are planned at her request. Walter A.

Newman ROCK HALL Walter A. Newman of Rock Hall, died Nov. 11, 2013 at University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore. He was 83. He was born May 16, 1930 in Philadelphia, the son of the late Walter Andrews Newman Sr.

and Mary Connolly Newman. Mr. Newman was a graduate of Radnor High School in Wayne, and studied business at The Wharton School in Philadelphia. He served in the U.S. Army.

On Jan. 23, 1954, he married Leila Marguerite Lynam. They raised their children in Berwyn, Pa. Mr. Newman owned and operated Newman Galleries in Philadelphia and Bryn Mawr, Pa.

He and his wife moved to their summer home in Rock Hall in 2005. His wife predeceased him on Aug. 9, 2010. His sisters, Naomi Newman and Nancy Newman Dackert, and brother David also preceded him in death. He was a member of the Rock Hall Yacht Club, Massey Air Museum, Kent County Association and the Sgt.

Preston Ashley American Legion Post No. 228 in Rock Hall. Drew enjoyed riding his bicycle and motorcycle, fishing, sailing, learning to fly and photography. He is survived by his children, Walter A. Newman III of Philadelphia, Terrence C.

Newman and his wife, Denise, of Pottstown, Janice White and her husband, Chuckie, of Rock Hall and Patricia Newman and her friend, Jimmy Wilson, of Rock Hall; his grandchildren, Taylor and Tucker White, Cara and Connor Newman, and Kayla and Meggie Crew and her Mike Otwell. Also surviving him is his great- grandson, Jasper Michael Otwell, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 16 at St.

in 1939 and moved to Rock Hall in 2005 to be closer to her grandchildren. She went peacefully to join her heavenly father on Nov. 8, 2013 at her home. Her interests included crocheting, watching Fox News, reading her Bible and anything to do with her grandchildren. She was the beloved mother of Sherri Gammon of Gaithersburg, Bob Simmons of Rockville, Tim Simmons of Rock Hall and Renee Walls of Rock Hall; loving grandmother of Bree Gammon of Gaithersburg, Hunt Gammon of Gaithersburg, Jena Gammon of Gaithersburg, Sean Simmons of Rockville, Tabatha Simmons of Severn, Ariel Simmons of New Mexico, David Haslup of Hayesville, N.C., Mark Walls Jr.

of Rock Hall, Gunner Walls and Becca Palmer of Rock Hall, Zackery Walls of Rock Hall, Luke Walls of Rock Hall and Will Cahill of Miami, proud great-grandmother of Isaiha Gammon of Gaithersburg, Isabella Simmons of Severn and Audrianna Walls, due Dec. 30. She will be greatly missed by her cat, Tigger, whom she loved so dearly. She will be mourned by many other family and friends. William H. Quigley CHESTERTOWN William H. Quigley III, of Chestertown, died peacefully at home Nov. 4, 2013 while surrounded by his family. He was 79.

He was born in Camden, N.J. and raised in National Park and Pitman, N.J. He graduated from Pitman High School in 1952, where he ran track and medaled at the Penn Relays. He served in the U.S. Air Force for four years and then studied at Temple and Drexel universities.

He had a long and successful career as a technical sales manager while raising his family with his wife, Barbara, in Doylestown, Pa. He was a past president of the Corvette Club of Delaware Valley and enjoyed tennis, sailing the Chesapeake Bay and the music of Frank Sinatra. In retirement, he was active with Sultana Projects and the Lions Club in Chestertown and was a member of the Rock Hall Yacht Club and Rock Hall Sailing Club. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Barbara; his sons, William IV (Stacey) of Weston, Conn. and Jeffrey (Pamela) of Doylestown, his daughter, Joy (Peter McDonald) of Fresno, and his grandchildren, Eric and Caroline.

He also is survived by his brothers, George of Treasure Island, Fla. and David of Graham, N.C., and his sister, Margaret of Pitman. A memorial service will be held at noon Saturday, Nov. 23 at Fellows, Helfenbein Newnam Funeral Home in Chestertown. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Sultana Projects, 105 South Cross Chestertown, MD 21620.

Cecil G. Saunders CHESTERTOWN Cecil G. Saunders, 83, of Chestertown, died Nov. 9, 2013 at Chester River Manor, Chestertown. A memorial celebration will be held at 4 p.m.

Thursday, Nov. 14 (today) at Bennie Smith Funeral Home, 855 High Chestertown. Sarah L. Thompson ROCK HALL Sarah Louise Thompson, of Rock Hall, died Oct. 31, 2013 at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore.

She was 70. Mrs. Thompson was born March 27, 1943 in Rock Hall, the daughter of the late Richard S. Jacquette and Doris E. Jacquette.

Mrs. Thompson attended Rock Hall High School. She worked as a homemaker and enjoyed collecting antiques and decorating. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Ralph Samuel Cox III. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, William H.

Thompson; son Mike Cox and his wife, Kathleen; daughter Melissa Clazey and her husband, Dave; stepsons Ethan Thompson, Blake Thompson and Scott Thompson; grandchildren Richard Cox, Stacy Myers, Parker Cox, Colton Clazey and Tyler Clazey; great- grandchildren Abby and Katlin Cox, Alana Myers and Conner Clazey; brothers Richard Jacquette and Chucky Jacquette; and sister Judy Dagenais. Born Feb. 16, 1951 in Chestertown, he was the son of the late Roland Golt and Mary Wiest Baker. Mr. Golt attended Sudlersville High School, leaving school in the 10th grade. He worked on boats and did several odd jobs before enlisting in the U.S.

Navy, serving on the USS Kennedy After being honorably discharged from the Navy, he started working for Chester River Boat Sales as a boat mechanic. Mr. Golt had a passion and was very well known for playing music, especially bluegrass. The name of his band was Rural Delivery. He even played with Dolly Parton.

Mr. Golt also enjoyed woodworking and wood carving. He is survived by a son, Jason Golt of Garner, N.C.; four sisters, LaRue Peters of Marian, Linda Willis of Centreville, Karen Stafford of Sudlersville and Johanna Blankenship of Thayer; two grandchildren, Zoey and Clara Golt of Garner, N.C.; and many nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov.
